Job Opportunity:

Chef – Full-time  Monday to Friday.  6 am to 3 pm (including 30 minute lunch break)

Your Role:

As an A La Carte Chef, your role is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Creation & Seasonal Promotions:
    Work closely with the Group Executive Chef to implement and promote seasonal menus. Develop and refine menu items, incorporating fresh and innovative ideas to captivate our customers.
  • Baking Expertise:
    Prepare a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts, enhancing the menu with your artisan skills.
  • Customer Engagement:
    Interact warmly with guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience through excellent customer service.
  • Cooking & Presentation:
    Cook and plate à la carte dishes to order, ensuring consistent quality, flavor, and presentation.
  • POS Operations:
    Process orders using the Point-of-Sale system efficiently and accurately.
  • Procurement & Stock Management:
    Manage ordering and receiving ingredients, ensuring fresh and high-quality inventory levels.
  • Invoicing & Administration:
    Maintain accurate records of purchases and invoices to support smooth financial operations.
  • Hygiene & Compliance:
    Uphold HACCP procedures, food safety standards, and company policies at all times.
  • Workstation & Storage Maintenance:
    Keep kitchen workstations and storage areas clean and well-organized, ensuring an efficient workspace.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with the Head Chef, Group Executive Chef, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams to create a cohesive and productive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an à la carte or similar chef role is essential. Baking skills and experience with customer-facing operations will be highly regarded.
  • Skills: Proven ability to handle menu creation, plating, and customer service while thriving in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with HACCP procedures, POS systems, and administrative processes like ordering and invoicing.
