Location: South Brisbane
Salary: $85,000 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday–Friday (with the occasional 4 weekdays plus one weekend day as required by business needs)

This is a career-defining opportunity for an ambitious, highly skilled chef who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments. As our Head Chef, you will be entrusted with the complete oversight of our culinary operations, from creative menu development to operational efficiency.

You will lead with vision, precision, and professionalism — ensuring the highest quality standards, developing your team, and consistently delivering a memorable food experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Operational Leadership: Drive the daily running of a high-volume kitchen with excellence, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Team Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse, multicultural brigade, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Financial Management: Control costs, manage budgets, and ensure profitability while maintaining uncompromising quality.
  • Full Back-of-House Accountability: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including production, compliance, hygiene, and logistics.
  • Menu & Product Excellence: Deliver innovative, high-quality dishes aligned with company guidelines and market trends.
  • Maintenance & Standards: Ensure all kitchen equipment, storage, and facilities are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Training & Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and skill development for all chefs and staff members.
  • Compliance & Procedures: Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory, procurement, and safety protocols.

 About You

 We are seeking a culinary professional who embodies both technical mastery and strategic leadership:

  • Minimum six years’ experience managing high-volume, fast-paced kitchens.
  • Worlds major cuisines knowledge and cooking experience
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire large, diverse teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple global cuisines.
  • In-depth expertise in corporate catering and large-scale events.
  • Formal qualifications in Culinary Arts or related fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and computer skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure with professionalism.
